Job Summary

Assist office staff with general office clerical support and duties as needed in the Student Service support offices and departments.  Provide support by tabulating and compiling data for reporting, preparing packets and other information for distribution, making reminder and follow-up phone calls to students.  Assist with requests for information from the general public, prospective and continuing students including in person requests, as well as via email and by telephone. Complete assigned tasks with direction from oversight staff and supervisor. 

Essential Functions
  • Major duties are related to customer service, providing and disseminating information, and answering questions, including in-person questions, emails, and phone calls. 
  • Provides direction to access appropriate personnel, offices and locations. 
  • Requires the incumbent to learn about Bates Technical College programs and services offered at each of the campus locations.

Minimum Qualifications

Educational course work and/or experience in administrative office assistant duties
