Job Summary

Under supervision of the Facilities & Operations Manager the General Maintenance Work Study performs semi-skilled work in the maintenance, painting, pressure washing, window cleaning, light construction and demo projects, trash hauling, and light grounds work. This position will work under the direct supervision of Maintenance Engineer.

Essential Functions
  • Cleaning roofs, gutters, windows, etc.
  • Changing HVAC filters
  • Moving furniture and equipment
  • Painting
  • Small construction and demo projects
  • Trash hauling
  • Other duties as assigned
Statement of Educational Benefits

This position will prepare students for employment in the general facilities maintenance field. Skills will include small tool use, painting, and preventative maintenance assistance. Skills and experience will align line with what is being taught in the Facilities Maintenance program, and assist student in implementing their classroom education into work experiences.

Minimum Qualifications
  • One year of relevant experience
  • Must have a valid driver’s license
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs.
  • Safely use ladders
  • Knowledge of hand tools
  • Ability to follow directions
  • Must be eligible for Financial Aid work study funds (Federal or State)
