Job Summary	Under the direction of the supervisor, the work study will maintain the cleanliness of the tractors, trailers, trucks and buses used by the Commercial Driving Program.
Essential Functions	Clean the exteriors of the Commercial Driving program vehicles and trailers. Clean the interiors of the Commercial Driving program vehicles and trailers. Maintain the tidiness of vehicle cleaning equipment and workspaces. Move and reposition Commercial Driving program vehicles and trailers across South Campus. Assist the supervisor with additional necessary tasks.
Statement of Educational Benefits	The student will gain experience with operating a variety of commercial vehicles in crowded urban environments performing CDL-related work experience under USDOT part 40 drug testing requirements.
Minimum Qualifications	Enrolled in the day shift of the Bates Commercial Driving Program and possess a valid WA State Commercial Learners Permit (CLP) with combination and air-brake endorsements. Work study is done on the evening shift (2:30-6:30 pm).
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities	Must be able to work independently with a high degree of accuracy. Follow written and oral directions with attention to detail. Punctual and responsible for the quality of their work. Must wear appropriate attire and personal protective equipment when necessary. Follow safety protocol at all times. Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing.
