We, the associated students of Bates Technical College, assume the responsibility of self-government in order to initiate and promote opportunities for student involvement in matters of concern to the student body.
The purpose of the Associated Student Government is to:
- Enhance the physical, social, and cultural welfare of students
- Represent the student perspective of campus life
- Promote full cooperation between students, faculty and administration
- Promote students’ rights and responsibilities
- Provide training and experience in responsible leadership and community involvement
- Provide official channels through which students’ opinions may be expressed

 | Neda White – ASG President – asgpresident@batestech.edu Hi friends! My name is Neda White, and I am serving as President here on ASG. I am currently enrolled the Applied Business Management program. I enjoy doing crafts, connecting with others, and most of all, spending time with my little family. I moved to Washington in 2023 with my kids and Husband. I look forward to creating new memories and experiences here with y’all and my fellow peers. My desired outcome in this role is to make a positive impact on others, and to grow in knowledge and wisdom from the opportunities given through ASG. |
 | Zach Furman – Vice President of South – asgvps@batestech.edu Hello, my name is Zach Furman, and I am the Vice President of South Campus. I’ve grown up in the Puyallup / Spanaway area playing football since pee wee ball. After football ended for me, I found myself a perfect fit at Bates. I am in the Electrical Construction class at South campus and I’m working to be the best at what I do. I enjoy all sorts of music and hanging out with all my closest friends. My goal as an ASG officer is to bring great positive change to my campus and to be a helping hand to anyone who may need it. |
 | Xinlai Zhou – ASG Vice President: Downtown – asgvpd@batestech.edu My name is Xinlai Zhou, currently serving as the ASG Vice President for the Downtown Campus. I enrolled in the Clinical Engineering program at Bates. After completing 20 years of service in the military, I restarted chasing my dream of becoming an Engineer. Bates opens its door for me. I am so excited about the opportunity for continuous education and being a member of the ASG where I represent the student body, help shape campus life, serve as a bridge between students and administration, and to ensure student voices are heard. |
 | Christian Martin – ASG Vice President – asgvpc@batestech.edu Hello fellow Bobcats! My name is Christian Martin, and I am honored to be a student here at Bates and support you as your Associated Student Government Vice President of Central Campus! I am currently enrolled in the Digital Media program, and look forward to using my skills learned in my program to create a positive and memorable learning experience for all students who attend Bates. I was born and raised on the beautiful Island of Maui, Hawaii and after serving almost 8 years Active Duty in the U.S. Army traveling all over the world I have recently decided to move closer to family here in Washington and continue my service in the Army Reserve while pursuing school full time here at Bates. I love spending time outdoors sight-seeing and doing any activities that involve the water. I also love trying new activities or going to new places all the time with my family and friends. It has been very intimidating thing to make the big decision to change my profession after years of pursuing it but every day I spend here at Bates as a student and as an officer on the ASG team I am reminded about how amazing and rewarding it can be to take a step out of your comfort zone towards something new. Not only have the students here made me feel welcomed but so have the Faculty and Staff. I am constantly reminded everyday that I made the right decision to pursue my program and continue my education here at Bates and it is such a beautiful experience, so with that I look forward to helping create that same experience for all who attend or hope to attend Bates! |
 | Jen Andreyka- ASG Records and Finance – asgrf@batestech.edu I am currently serving as a Records and Finance Officer with ASG while pursuing my Electrical Construction license. I have a passion for hands-on work, particularly in fixing things and working on older vehicles. Before joining ASG, I spent a year and a half in China as an English teacher, which broadened my perspective and deepened my love for working with the public. I also owned my own general contracting business, where I developed valuable skills in project management and customer relations. In my role at ASG, my goal is to enhance the experience of both students and faculty, creating a vibrant and supportive environment at Bates Technical College. I believe that college should be both educational and enjoyable, and I’m committed to ensuring that everyone has a positive and memorable time on campus. After graduation, I plan to join the Navy, continuing my journey of growth and service. |
 | Daniel Safarian – ASG Public Relations – asgpr@batestech.edu Hello Bobcats! My name is Daniel Safarian, and I am your ASG Public Relations Officer. I am originally from California, but I have been living in Washington for five years now. Outside of Bates, I am a father to two beautiful children, a two-year-old son and 4-year-old daughter. So, I can relate to those of you who balance family and school life on top of everything else that life throws at you. As a student leader, my goal is to lead with empathy and inclusiveness, creating a space where everyone feels heard and valued. I aim to be a voice for the voiceless and to bring people together through impactful events and activities. After graduation, I hope to join the apprenticeship program through IBEW 46, and I am excited about the possibility of owning my own electrical business and expanding that business into humanitarian led aid abroad. I’m committed to making a positive impact in the community. Outside of my professional, academic, and family life, I’m passionate about staying active and maintaining a healthy lifestyle. I keep a strict gym schedule, hike regularly, and enjoy spending quality time with my family. These hobbies keep me energized and help me stay focused and motivated in all aspects of my life. I’m excited about the future and the opportunities ahead, for my family, in my career and personal endeavors, and I look forward to serving you all as your Public Relations Officer.  | Adison Fuller – ASG Event Coordinator My name is Adison Fuller, and I am currently enrolled in the Electrical Construction Program. I am excited to take on the role of Event Coordinator and look forward to helping plan and organize events that bring people together and create positive experiences for everyone involved. I enjoy working with others, staying organized, and contributing to a successful team environment. Outside of school, I enjoy baking and hiking, which help me stay creative, active, and balanced. As Event Coordinator, I hope to bring creativity, enthusiasm, and strong communication skills to the position while helping make our events enjoyable and memorable.  | Hadia Morine – ASG Event Coordinator Two My name is Hadia Morine, and I am currently enrolled in the Electrical Construction program at Bates. One of my biggest goals is to continue building my skills and experience so that one day I can join the union and become a journeyman electrician, and I believe Bates is the first big step toward helping me reach that goal. I’m excited for the opportunity to be involved with ASG because I want to help create a positive and welcoming environment where students can have fun, make lasting memories, and truly enjoy their experience at Bates.
