ASG and Student Life

Student Clubs

Dear ASG Clubs, this is a friendly reminder that all ASG clubs will sunset after summer quarter. Clubs must be re-sanctioned annually, if a club wishes to continue for the next academic year, they must re-apply for sanctioning. Clubs are encouraged to re-apply in early July for the next academic year.

Start a student club! Visit our club website bates.ctc.edu/clubs. It is a great opportunity to meet new people who share a common interest.

Recovery Club

X Intersectionality Club

Sustainability Club

Robotics Club

Counseling

Erin Hayden, LMHC, is available to meet with students for personal counseling. She can help support you in dealing with things like depression, anxiety, ADHD, and substance abuse. She can also help you learn to cope with academic stress, or with difficult life events like a breakup, illness, or death of a loved one. Summer Regional Conference

Where: Skagit Valley College in Mount Vernon.
When:  July 28th and 29th.

If you have earned 12 college level credits, with a 3.5 cumulative GPA or above, you may be eligible to join Phi Theta Kappa, the international honors society on campus.  Keep your eyes on your email for an invitation!

Handbook connects students in need with community services

Bates Technical College’s Disability Support Services (DSS) has updated its Directory of Community Services, filled with contact information for local services that will make it easier to connect students in need to community services. The document is located on the right ‘contact us’ panel on the DSS webpage. DSS coordinator Dan Eberle says, “We publish this document because of the needs of our students. It’s important to their educational success to make sure they have all the support they need, including a convenient way to for them to seek assistance from these resources,” he says. The Bates Foundation offers quarterly scholarships that can provide assistance with your educational expenses.
