Conversation Corner – This Tuesday
ELS Conversation Corner is a time for ELS students to meet Bates students and practice their English during lunch. Tuesdays from 12:00 – 1:00 PM in the Downtown Cafeteria. Stop by, enjoy some conversation, and make some friends.

General Assembly – This Wednesday
Join the ASG general Assembly Wednesday November 18th, in the South Campus Cafeteria from 11:15-12:15, to hear what’s going on in ASG.
Thanksgiving Buffet – This Thursday
Join Bates’ Culinary Arts in their annual Thanksgiving Buffet on Thursday, Nov. 19, 11 a.m.-12:30 p.m. in the college’s Downtown Campus Cafe’. $10 per person.
International Education Festival – This Friday
Join ASG and ELS as they come together to host the annual International Education Festival Friday November 20th, in the Downton Auditorium from 11:15-12:30. Come and visit the booths of ELS students from all over the world, as they share their culture and traditions with you. Lunch is Free for students who participate in the festivities.

Thumbtack School-To-Skills Scholarship
Thumbtack announced a $5,000 scholarship for the 2016-2017 school year that they want to share with Bates Technical College students.

Locks & Socks Winter Clothing Drive
Please bring new or gently used socks, hats, scarves, gloves, sleeping bags and tarps to the brown collection box in the downtown Student Diversity Center. These items will be donated to Locks & Socks, a program who will distribute them to homeless people in our community. Warm up somebody’s winter.
Queer I Am
Queer I Am is a 2 day-long summit at South Puget Sound Community College that aims to create a liberating space that engages Queer individuals and their many communities to develop their sense of belonging and pride in Queer culture and community. First Peoples Conference at Green River CC
Green River’s 4th annual FIRST PEOPLES CONFERENCE Tuesday November 17th-19th at Green River Community College. The conference workshops and keynotes are free, but there is a dinner option for $25. Payments can be made online at: http://goo.gl/uYYM9e.
