Phi Theta Kappa Meeting – This Tuesday
Join us tomorrow next to the Diversity Center (E303) at Downtown Campus between 11:30am and 12:15pm to talk about an exciting opportunity to host the PTK Regional Spring Conference in March! We will need as many people to attend and volunteer as possible. There will be free food, raffles, etc. at the conference. As always each time you attend a meeting your name gets entered into the monthly drawing for a free PTK BYO t-shirt!

Conversation Corner – This Tuesday
ELS Conversation Corner is a time for ELS students to meet Bates students and practice their English. Tuesdays from 12:00 – 1:00 PM in the Downtown Cafeteria. Stop by, enjoy some conversation, and make some friends.
Bates Basketball – This Tuesday Night
Cheer on the Bates Bobcats basketball team at the semifinals playoff game!
They play at Peoples Center located at 1602 MLK Jr Way Tacoma, WA 98405

General Assembly – This Wednesday
ASG general Assembly is this Wednesday November 9th from 11:15-12:15 Downtown campus auditorium. Free pizza for students who participate & all students encouraged to attend.

Queer I Am is a 2 day-long summit at South Puget Sound Community College that aims to create a liberating space that engages Queer individuals and their many communities to develop their sense of belonging and pride in Queer culture and community. Locks and Socks Winter Clothing Drive
Please bring new or gently used socks, hats, scarves, gloves, sleeping bags and tarps to the collection box in the downtown Student Diversity Center. These items will be donated to Locks and Socks, a program who will distribute them to homeless people in our community. Warm up somebody’s winter.

Library hours to change starting today!!
Jennie Vano, South Campus Librarian, has resigned from Bates. Her final day with Bates is December 4th, 2015. Her many friends at Bates, wish her the best of luck in her future. With this change, starting on December 7, 2015, the hours at each library will be:
- South Campus Library
Mon-Thu, 10 a.m. – 3 p.m.
Fri, 10 a.m. – 1 p.m. - Downtown Campus Library
Mon-Wed, 7 a.m. – 4 p.m.
Thu, 7 a.m. – 3 p.m.
F, 10 a.m. – 3 p.m.
Librarian Mike Wood will serve at the South Campus Library on Thursdays.

Conversation Partners
ELS needs your help! We have three lovely Saudi ladies who would love to participate in conversation corner, however because of cultural customs; they do not feel comfortable joining the group discussions because of the proximity to men. We are looking for three women to be individual partners with these ladies. Please contact Chelsea Annis to get involved.
