Commencement Rehearsal
Know before you go. Please attend the commencement rehearsal the week of Commencement. You do not need to wear your cap and gown. Wednesday, May 31, from 11:30 AM- 12:30 PM at the Downtown Campus Auditorium. Contact Sharon Netter, 253.680.7370 if you have any questions about the rehearsal.
Decorate your Graduation Cap with ASG
Join ASG on Wednesday, May 31 from 12:30 PM — 3:30 PM in the DT Campus Auditorium following the commencement rehearsal, to decorate your commencement cap. Some supplies will be provided, bring your own cap.
Get Your Cap and Gown
Miss the deadline for ordering? No problem! Purchase your cap and gown starting on May 11 at the Downtown Campus Store. Price is $27.50, plus tax

Foundation
The Bates Technical College Foundation is now accepting scholarship applications for summer quarter. Please read the directions carefully before beginning your application.
The Bates Foundation will award up to 29 scholarships totaling $27,250. The application deadline is THURSDAY, MAY 11 at midnight.
To assist you in the scholarship application process, the Foundation conducts scholarship workshops—Today at South Campus and tomorrow at Downtown Campus. Feel free to bring your lunch!
ASG General Assembly Meeting
The ASG General Assembly meeting is Wednesday, May 17, 2017 in the Downtown Auditorium from 11:15 AM – 12:15 PM. Pizza is available for participants.
Counseling
Bates now has counseling! Erin Hayden, LMHC, is available to meet with students for personal counseling. She can help support you in dealing with things like depression, anxiety, ADHD, and substance abuse. She can also help you learn to cope with academic stress, or with difficult life events like a breakup, illness, or death of a loved one. There is no cost to you, and your conversations are confidential. Call 253-680-7006 or email ehayden@bates.ctc.edu to get connected.

New Databases from the Library!
New EBSCO databases (Associates Programs Source Plus, Health Source: Nursing/Academic, AHFS Consumer Medication Information, Science Reference Center, Education Full Text, Point of View, and Biomedical Reference) have been added to the databases previously available. Need help? The library has what you need.

As the recipient of a scholarship award between summer quarter 2016 and spring quarter 2017, you and one guest may attend at no cost. Please provide the guest’s name when you register. You must pre-register online at www.bates.ctc.edu/ScholarshipLuncheon no later than May 11. This is not a walk-in event.
The Scholarship Luncheon is Thursday, May 18, from 11:30 AM to 1 PM in the Bates South Campus auditorium.

Reduced Cost Dental Clinic
Did you know that Bates has a dental clinic? Located at the Downtown Campus, the clinic is open to private-pay patients and patients with Apple Health Care. Services include: new patient exams, cleanings, fillings, crowns and extractions. All services are at a reduced fee. Open Monday – Thursday, 8:00 AM – 3:00 PM. Call 253-680-7310 for an appointment.
