What is Satisfactory Academic Progress?

SAP (Satisfactory Academic Progress) is the standard students must meet in order to continue receiving Financial Aid.

For Federal funding, there are three eligibility criteria that must be met.

Students must pass 67% of attempted units/credits
  • Qualitative: Grade Point Average (GPA)
Students must maintain at least a 2.0 minimum cumulative
  • Quantitative: Maximum Timeframe (MTF)
Students must complete a whole degree within 150% of the units/credits required for graduation

For Washington State funding, there are two eligibility criteria that must be met.

  • Qualitative: Grade Point Average (GPA)
Students must maintain at least a 2.0 minimum cumulative
  • Minimum Credit Completion (MCC)
