Numerous employment opportunities exist for college-educated administrative office professionals with advanced computer and writing skills including professional, private, county and state organizations. Students in the Administrative Business Assistant program learn fundamental skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Access, business writing and office procedures.

Students receive practical experience in several areas, including grammar, keyboarding, employment preparation, and often gain work-based learning experience in temporary internships at local businesses or in residence at the college. The program also provides extended learning opportunities for persons previously or currently employed in related professions.

Students learn records management, grammar, business writing, professional ethics, and telephone techniques in preparation for jobs as office assistants, administrative assistants, secretaries, word processing specialists, and a variety of other office support positions. Students receive practical experience in several areas, including computer software technology, office procedures and accounting, and often gain work-based learning experience in temporary internships at local businesses or in residence at the college. The program also provides extended learning opportunities for persons previously or currently employed in related professions.
