Welcome to Bates Technical College’s Cashiers Office, a function of the Business and Finance Department. It is our goal to provide quality financial and support services to all students and customers. At Bates Technical College, we understand that all students who step onto one of our three vibrant campuses arrive with their own diverse and unique set of circumstances. Our staff is committed to helping you succeed.

  2. Pay In-Person:
    Payments can be made in person at the Cashier’s office located in the Downtown Campus Registration Office Suite, Room A210D.

  3. Pay by Phone:
    Payments can be made over the phone using most major credit/debit cards.
    To make a payment over the phone, please call 253.680.7018.

  4. Pay by check via Mail:
    If you are mailing a check, please include your Student ID number. If you owe fees for multiple quarters, please specify which quarter you are paying. Make checks payable to Bates Technical College and send them to the following address:Bates Technical College

Note: The Cashier’s Office is currently processing all refunds as checks, sent directly to the address the student has on file with the college. Checks are processed twice a week, Tuesdays and Thursdays. The exceptions are the students who paid online through the college website, those are refunded back to the same credit or debit card used on the website. Bates Technical College follows the State Board for Community and Technical Colleges (SBCTC) tuition and fees policies, which generally describe the amounts that are charged for different types of classes and students. More information is available at the SBCTC tuition and fees webpage.

With the new CTC-Link system, students can see more information about tuition and fees compared to the older legacy system. The tuition can be seen split into three components:

  • Operating fee: A tuition fee that supports school operations.
  • Building fee: A tuition fee that supports infrastructure and innovation. This tuition fee is charged for in-person and online classes.
  • S & A (Services and Activities) fee: A tuition services and activity fee used to cover student activities and programs.

Most classes charge operating, building, and S&A fees as tuition. Learn more about Tuition & Fees.

Simple steps to enroll:

  •  Register for classes
  • Find out on student schedule or at the Cashier’s Office how much tuition and fees are due
  • The first step to accessing the Payment Plan Enrollment portal is found on the Student Homepage is CTC-Link. View the link below for instructions.
