Nourish Pierce County Mobile Food Bank rolls onto Bates Technical College campus with celebration

The Nourish Pierce County food bank will serve students and community Thursdays from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
TACOMA, Wash. –Students at Bates Technical College and community members in need will soon have a new location to obtain free perishable and non-perishable food items. The Nourish Pierce County Mobile Food Bank will park at the South Campus, 2201 South 78th Street, in Tacoma, Thursdays, 11:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m. beginning on February 14.
this partnership will make a difference in the lives of our students and their families.
To celebrate the partnership and boost awareness of the mobile food pantry, Bates Technical College will host a grand opening event on Thursday, Feb. 14, 11 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. at South Campus.
“We are excited to bring this much-needed resource to our college community, which will augment the student government-led food pantry efforts at each of our three campuses,” said Bates Technical College President Lin Zhou. “The college cares about the health and well-being of our students, and this partnership will make a difference in the lives of our students and their families.”
