Northwest Now on KBTC examines McCleary funding

Posted: September 21, 2017

Just when you thought all was well as kids returned to school, there’s growing concern that the legislature’s fix on the McCleary school funding debacle has come up short.

Did the state budget provide a sustainable compromise, or are the same old problems baked into the cake at a higher funding level?

We’ll hear from Seattle attorney Thomas Ahearne, who filed the lawsuit back in 2007, and Washington Education Association President Kim Mead.

The Emmy and Telly Award-winning public affairs series Northwest Now airs Fridays at 7:30 p.m. on KBTC Public Television, a service of Bates Technical College.
