The event features career programs through tours, information fair and activities

Are you curious about Bates Technical College’s programs? You’re invited to the college’s annual Open House on Thursday, May 7, 9:30 a.m.-1 p.m., at South Campus, 2201 S. 78^th St., in Tacoma.

The Open House features an information fair with representatives from student services, financial aid, Technical High School and Running Start, the testing center, and ESL and Adult Basic Education faculty.

During the event, attendees can participate in interactive activities with several career education programs, like Fire Service, Welding, aerospace programs, and more. Those who wish to transfer into four-year institutions will have an opportunity to speak with representatives from University of Washington Tacoma, Western Governor’s University, and more.

The college’s food truck, Curbside Urban Cuisine, will be open for business during lunch time.
