Congratulations to the Class of 2021!

Please note that the class of 2020 graduates are welcome to participate in our 2021 hybrid celebration.*

Date: Monday, June 7, 2021
Time: 6 p.m.
Location: The pandemic prohibits us from holding a full in-person ceremony. The President has directed the committee to organize a hybrid (part drive-through, part video) event to celebrate our graduates.*

How do I participate?

Cap and gown information

Order your cap, gown and tassel today. NOTE: Deadline to order is April 29, 2021 at 11:29 p.m. 

Just search for Bates Technical College on the Herff Jones website below. Several grad packages are available for purchase. A cap, gown and tassel is $34.50, and a souvenir tassel is $6.50. Standard shipping is $7.95. Regalia will be shipped to the address you provide.

Need financial assistance?

If you are a graduate who is unable to purchase a cap and gown due to financial concerns, fill out the Bates Foundation Emergency Assistance Application. The first thirty eligible students will have $70 credited to their BankMobile account to purchase the cap & gown package.

How do I apply?

  1. Fill out the current  Bates Foundation Emergency Assistance Application
  2. In the $ section, enter $70
  3. In the Narrative Section under “Please describe the emergency related to this request…” enter Cap & Gown Package.

Important deadlines

April 29, 2021: Last day to order your cap and gown.

May 7, 2021: Last day to apply to participate and have your name appear in the virtual/hybrid ceremony.

May 25, 2021: Last day to apply to participate and have your name appear in the commencement program PDF.

GradImages on hand for photos

During the drive through event, you’ll have an opportunity to take photos with professional photography service GradImages. Please register for this service here: www.gradimages.com/registration.


Commemorate your time at Bates!

Did you know you can purchase an engraved brick to commemorate your time at Bates or pay tribute to a faculty member? You can even choose the campus where you want your engraved brick to be placed!

How to apply for your credential, degree, certificate, or diploma

Students must complete a Credential Application to apply for their actual degrees and certificates and send their completed forms to Registration@BatesTech.edu. Student must complete a Diploma Application to apply for their high school diploma. Diploma Applications are available from your High School Advisor. Degrees and certificates are not distributed at commencement. All credentials are received through regular mail.
