Friday's Northwest Now explores everything from traffic to western art

Posted: August 24, 2016

On Friday’s edition of Northwest Now, we’re getting out of the studio and into the field to take a closer look at the issues that affect all of us here in Western Washington.

Up first, we take you inside one of WSDOT’s traffic management centers. Then, we take a typical nightmarish trip with a local power-commuter. Next, on the tracks, the concern is over oil trains. In health, we see how one family dealt with worries about concussions. We’ll go to Rally Point Six (R/P 6) to learn more about making the transition from soldier to employee. And finally, we take a look inside the Tacoma Art Museum’s collection of Western art.

The Emmy and Telly Award-winning public affairs series Northwest Now airs Fridays at 7:30 p.m. on KBTC Public Television, a service of Bates Technical College.
